The other day I told a friend about my idea for The Royal Club 🏰
How it all started after a man dumped me, blocked me, and basically forced me to deal with myself instead. 😄
During that conversation she said something interesting. She knows a lot of women who have their lives together. Good job, their own money, friends, independence, a home… but the moment a man appears, they almost automatically slide from the driver’s seat into the passenger seat. 🚗
And yes… very relatable.
There’s nothing wrong with the passenger seat, don’t get me wrong. I just think it’s a lot nicer when you consciously choose to switch seats for a while, instead of suddenly finding yourself there thinking:
“How the hell did I end up here again?”
And that is exactly what The Royal Club is about. 👑
Not a place to endlessly complain about dates, exes or partners. I think it’s far more interesting to explore why we still do things we deep down already know will end with:
“Here we go again.”
The doors to The Royal Club open around midsummer.
